To find a very Nordic style of progressive rock, exploring Swedish music can be a great choice. Swedish progressive rock is different from typical progressive rock, thanks to the influences of traditional Nordic folk and an inclination towards deep instrumental soundscapes. A great example for that was the duo Hansson & Karlsson, which were masters of instrumental psychedelic soundscapes in a very improvisational and hypnotic style. 

Bo Hansson’s solo career also is well worth it to dive into, especially his masterpiece record Sagan Om Ringen. But there are many different styles coming from Sweden, many of which are just great music. The band Samla Mammas Manna is a very good example, with a more energetic avant-garde style that sounds very unique. The newsletter will frequently explore rare gems from Nordic countries like Sweden.
