Kraan is a great example of the many incredible bands that bubbled in the German underground scene of the 1970s. As a jazz fusion band, they had a special German sound that combines jazz, funk and rock elements. Wiederhören is the album that might showcase this the most, with just very good musical arrangements and interplay.
The highlight on there might be Silky Way, with its incredibly well-sounding slow electric guitars, bass lines and minimal, atmospheric vocals. If you are searching for those magical moments in 1970s music, you might find some of them here. More of such moments are being explored in the newsletter.
