Goblin emerged from the Italian progressive rock scene in the early 1970s. In Goblins releases you can find particularly good synth-heavy, atmospheric, and dark music, often focused around the keyboard. Many of Goblin’s projects were soundtracks for horror movies, and with them you will certainly get a unique type of dark sound.
If you are interested in synth focus, moody progressive rock, their record Roller (1976) might be a great choice for you. The synth work on there is beautiful, especially on Aquaman. Throughout the album you can find really good bass. And the piano piece Il Risveglio Del Serpente is a strongly recommended gem, very much alike the great Italian movie soundtracks of the 1970s. The newsletter will uncover more of this type of music.
