Brian Bennett – Voyage

If you are interested in finding some of the most well-produced fusion music, Brian Bennett might be a great artist for you to dig into. Throughout the 1970s, he created some of the best library music of KPM and Bruton, and he released multiple solo projects that have a legendary status among record collectors. His music is very varied, sometimes influenced by pop and rock music, sometimes dark and dramatic, but it always has a certain signature that sounds great.

His best solo project might be Voyage, which is a disco and funk record with heavy synthesizers and great rhythms. If you like the excellent production quality that is similar to the top library music of the 1970s, this album is a classic to check out. The song Solstice is a great example of that, with its bright synthesizers, funky bass lines, and strong grooves. The newsletter is dedicated to uncovering more of such library music inspired gems, especially those that are still largely unknown.
