Bo Hansson - Sagan Om Ringen

Sagan Om Ringen has some of the best otherworldly musical soundscapes that you can find. Bo Hansson created this album inspired by the novel Lord of The Rings – in 1970 this was way before the commercial movies were released. And the album shows that, with its particularly deep and different type of atmosphere.

Great keyboards, experimental guitars and electronic sounds that were very novel at that point are combined into a great blend on this album. Particular standout songs are “Leaving Shire” and “The Black Riders & Flight to the Ford”, showcasing unique instruments like the Hammond organ and Moog synthesizer to create a somewhat psychedelic vibe. This album is great for diggers of music that has strong depth, and more of such music is highlighted in the newsletter.
